Shuwen Zhang

Founder and Head of Big Ideas at Methods Wizard

Shuwen Zhang is the visionary founder of Methods Wizard and a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago. With a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Bristol in the UK and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in the US, she brings a wealth of knowledge and international experience to the table.

Shuwen’s passion lies in making complex methodologies accessible and engaging. Over the past four years, she has taught a wide range of courses, from basic regression analysis to advanced modeling, inspiring both undergraduate and master’s students. She excels in breaking down intricate concepts into simple, understandable lessons, ensuring every learner can apply them with confidence.

Her expertise extends beyond the classroom. Shuwen has served as a methodologist on numerous research projects, specializing in social network analysis, data visualization and causal inference.

At Methods Wizard, Shuwen leads a dynamic team dedicated to democratizing access to high-quality education. She believes that learning should be convenient and free for everyone. Her vision for Methods Wizard is to create a welcoming, educational space where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive and achieve their learning goals.

Raul Gutierrez Meave

Co-Founder and Head of Method Magic

Raul Gutierrez Meave is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago. He also holds a doctorate in Public Policy from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico.

With a robust expertise in a wide array of methodologies, Raul’s proficiency includes:

Traditional Statistical Methods: Mastery in regression analysis and other fundamental techniques.
Social Network Analysis (SNA): Skilled in mapping and interpreting complex social relationships.
Spatial Analysis: Experienced in analyzing geographic data to uncover spatial patterns and relationships.
Quantitative Text Analysis: Adept at extracting and interpreting meaningful insights from large text datasets.

Raul’s academic journey is complemented by his extensive teaching experience, particularly in regression analysis, which he has taught multiple times.

At Methods Wizards, Raul leads the creation of instructional videos on various research methods, making complex techniques accessible and engaging for students. His innovative approach ensures that learners can effectively master the tools they need for their research endeavors.

Jahun Lee

Co-Founder and Head of Tech Wizard

Jahun Lee is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago.

At Tech Wizards, Jahun leads the building and operation of the website.
